• PHP Developer with Joomla! and Drupal Experience - Available Immediately
  This job is varied and fun; people can expect to learn a wide variety of new skills and work on many different types of projects. There is never a dull moment. This is an excellent position for someone who likes to multi-task tiny assignments with longer-term project-based work. Sample tasks might include:
  
• Taking layered Photoshop design file and creating Drupal (or perhaps Joomla or Wordpress) theme


• Designing and implementing functional website components in Drupal or Joomla, using PHP


• Ad-hoc programming in PHP


• Review of an existing website to come up with suggestions for improvement


• Migrating websites from one shared web host to another


• Light Javascript programming / debugging


• Performing routine HTML updates of websites


Required Skills:

• PHP


• Drupal and Joomla CMS


• XHTML, CSS


• MySQL


• Great verbal and written communication skills


In addition, candidates will be expected to provide estimates in advance for tasks (number of hours to complete) and work within those estimates. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of hands-on, directly relevant experience. This is a junior-to-mid level position. College degrees in Computer Science or closely related field are preferable. We offer a full and competitive benefits package. Candidates can telecommute as long as they are physically located in the DC area and able / willing to come to meetings in the Washington DC area as required and/or spend some office time with other team members as required.
